New Technical Director at BMA

Chris Taylor-Hamlin of the BMA.

Chris Taylor-Hamlin has been promoted to the position of Technical Director of the BMA.

Taylor-Hamlin joined the BMA in 2008 is now fully responsible for representing BMA members during the development of bathroom standards in British and European Technical Committees.

He is the principle technical mouthpiece for the BMA, liaising with UK government bodies, protecting members' interests in any discussion forum. He also provides technical information and backup for the Association's members.

His recent projects at the BMA have included the authoring of the new TMV Guide (an account of the current regulations and available products), and the complete review and upgrade of the Water Efficient Product Labelling Scheme. He is now working on coordinating all the available information for the forthcoming review of the Water Regulations.

Taylor-Hamlin is a qualified engineer and during his career has worked for British Coal, Mira Showers and Reliance Water Controls.
