Crown gears up for business boost

Crown Imperial takes the wraps off an impressive range update.

Timing is everything with a new collection and it has to be said that Crown's timing is spot on. As Jo Public's belt tightens and an increasing number of consumers are going to be searching for 'the look' without a high-end price tag, this range is going to tick many boxes.

Classical painted finishes, contemporary high gloss ranges, and traditional in-frame styles are all included in the new Crown Imperial range, making it one of the most comprehensive kitchen furniture collections from a single manufacturer.

Crown Imperial
is the UK's leading supplier to the independent sector but its position of late has been under threat from competitors offering several on-trend features such as painted finishes and curved doors that were absent from the old Crown range.

These shortcomings have been addressed in the most recent update to the Crown Imperial range featuring over 100 new kitchens. The company's flagship showroom in Daventry has been refitted with the latest ranges and the collection has been rolled out to wide acclaim from its retailer network over the past few weeks.

There is always a degree of creative accounting when it comes to adding up the number of kitchens a company offers. Is the same door profile in five different colourways one kitchen or five for example? So, is the Ashton kitchen - seen above in image 1 - one new kitchen or 60 as it is offered in that number of painted finishes?

The precise number of new kitchens in the Crown Imperial range is more academic than the range of styles the collection embraces, and that is impressive. Modern kitchens such as Rialto (image 2), classical Shakers various including Midsomer (image 3), and the in-frame Cotswold (image 4) are just the tip of the new Crown Imperial iceberg.

There is also a wide choice of natural timber finishes in a variety of woods and door styles, high gloss moulded kitchens, handless ranges, and slab fronts perennials in beech and maple

Timing is everything with a new collection and it has to be said that Crown's timing is spot on. As Jo Public's belt tightens and an increasing number of consumers are going to be searching for 'the look' without a high-end price tag, this range is going to tick many boxes.

The strengthening of the more classical or traditional end of the Crown range with painted finishes and in-frame styles is a very shrewd move too as many of today's kitchen purchasers are looking for so-called 'timeless' designs that UK manufacturers seem to excel in producing.
