Britannia takes the high road

Britannia takes the high road

Appliance specialist plans to keep on trucking throughout the British Isles.

Britannia has just launched its biggest show vehicle tour to date. Starting in Aberdeen, the branded display lorry will be on the road for three months, pulling into John Lewis at High Wycombe between the 13 and 15 August, and completing its journey on 10 September in Ireland.

The vehicle will have a wide selection of range cookers on display, the Nebraska fridge-freezer, the newly launched five zone built-in induction hob and the brand new range of cooker hoods from BEST.

Designed to give retailers and consumers the opportunity to explore Britannia's full portfolio, staff will also be on hand to answer any questions and offer expert advice.

With the widest product offering for an tour of this kind to date and some new additions for 2010, Henneke Duistermaat, sales and marketing director at Britannia, believes this tour will be the most successful yet. She comments: "We're confident that retailers are going to be impressed with the vehicle once again this year.

"This tour is very important to us and we're already receiving excellent feedback and have already secured orders for new displays.

"We know that sometimes it's hard for our retailers to get along to the design or kitchen shows, so taking the vehicle out on the road means they have a chance to see all the latest models and products, ask questions and hopefully gain a greater knowledge of our appliances.

"If they choose, they can also advertise this as an event for their own customers and attract a greater footfall to their store."
