Bathroom companies feature strongly in new feature area.

The new Product Innovation Awards is a new area at The Sleep Event that recognises the exceptional design prowess of the luxury hotel industry, reports Lucy Cheeseman.

Chosen for their truly unique function or design, the show will display the final 25 products within the Innovation Zone this November.Bathroom companies operating within the design or development of hotels submitted their best designs, including entries from Geberit, Roca and Unique Automation.

The Duofix shower element from Geberit, image 1, provids an easy to install alternative to traditional wetroom drainage. It offers a discreet and sleek alternative to siting a water drain in the floor, as well as being easy to fit, leak-proof and avoiding the need to build into the floor.

Roca, (image 2)will exhibit W+W, its all in one washbasin and WC that uses wastewater from the basin to fill the WC, which reduces water usage by up to 25%.

Unique Automation will present a digital pop-up bath that looks like any other but offers a host of benefits to save money, water and energy. It constantly monitors the water depth and temperature preventing the water from being scolding hot and overflow on any bathtub.

The Sleep Event is Europe's only event dedicated to hotel design, development and architecture that will return to the Business Design Centre, London from 24-25 November.

As in previous years, the event also incorporates a top-level two day conference and the highly prestigious European Hotel Design Awards.
